Assistant Professor of Human resources and organizational Behaviour
edwards school of Business, University of Saskatchewan
I am a leadership scholar whose research interests include the health and well-being of leaders, such as sleep. I am interested in how leader’s health influence their leadership and their employees. I am also interested in women and leadership and how women navigate getting to and staying at the top of organizations.
I started my academic career in Saskatchewan, completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Regina. After that I did my Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I then completed my PhD at the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Being a Saskatchewan girl, I always knew I wanted to come back to Saskatchewan and was thrilled to secure a position as an Assistant Professor at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. I teach leadership both at the undergraduate and MBA level in the Edwards School of Business. I am a passionate researchers who wants to bring my research knowledge to everyone.
To bring my research to the public I give talks related to my area of expertise to non-profit and for profit organizations across Saskatchewan. I am also a certified coach because I know I can use my expertise and passion to help people more directly. For more information of both my speaking and my coaching please see those pages on this website or contact me for more information.
